Welcome to BrighterBuddy, a mobile application and related services operated by BrighterBuddy LLC (“BrighterBuddy,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

BrighterBuddy is designed to support children—particularly autistic children—in developing communication skills, social understanding, and emotional regulation through interactive, sensory-friendly experiences.

By accessing or using the BrighterBuddy app, website, or any related services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”).

If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

BrighterBuddy is designed for children ages 4–10 and must be used under the supervision of a parent, guardian, educator, or authorized adult.

By using the Services, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old, or
   
• You are a parent/guardian providing consent for a child’s use
   

You are responsible for:

• 
  
• Supervising the child’s use
   
• Managing subscriptions
   
• Ensuring appropriate usage
   

BrighterBuddy provides tools designed to support developmental growth, including but not limited to:

• Speech and communication practice
   
• Social scenario exploration
   
• Sensory-friendly calming activities
   
• Customizable Buddy characters
   
• Positive reinforcement and goal tracking
   

We may update, modify, or enhance features at any time.

BrighterBuddy may offer optional paid subscriptions.

By subscribing, you agree:

• Payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play
   
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
   
• Pricing, billing frequency, and trial details are shown before purchase
   

You can manage or cancel subscriptions via:

• Apple: Settings → Subscriptions
   
• Google: Play Store → Payments & Subscriptions
   

We do not store or process payment information directly.

A free version of BrighterBuddy may be available with limited features.
Additional content, tools, or experiences may require a subscription.

We are committed to protecting children’s privacy and minimizing data collection.

• We collect only what is necessary to provide functionality
   
• We do not sell personal data
   
• Data handling is governed by our Privacy Policy
   

Users may request deletion of their account and associated data at any time.

You may:

• Use in-app deletion tools, or
   
• Contact us at: william@brighterbuddy.com
   

We will process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe.

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for unlawful or harmful purposes
   
• Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or disrupt the app
   
• Interfere with system functionality or security
   

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access if misuse occurs.

All content within BrighterBuddy—including but not limited to:

• Characters (Sunny, Buddies, etc.)
   
• Designs, visuals, and animations
   
• Branding, logos, and text
   

are the property of BrighterBuddy LLC and are protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Services without permission.

BrighterBuddy is designed as a supportive developmental tool.

It is not a substitute for:

• Medical advice
   
• Speech therapy
   
• Occupational therapy
   
• Professional diagnosis or treatment
   

Always consult qualified professionals when appropriate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

BrighterBuddy LLC shall not be liable for:

• Indirect or incidental damages
   
• Loss of data
   
• Interruptions in service
   
• Outcomes related to use of the app
   

Use of the Services is at your own discretion.

We may:

• Modify features
   
• Update content
   
• Temporarily suspend services for maintenance
   

We are not liable for downtime or changes to functionality.

BrighterBuddy operates through third-party platforms including:

• Apple App Store
   
• Google Play Store
   

Your use of those platforms is subject to their respective terms.

We may update these Terms at any time.

Continued use of the Services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Services at our discretion, including if you violate these Terms or misuse the Services.

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Services will immediately cease
   
• Any active subscriptions must still be managed or canceled through Apple App Store or Google Play
   
• Certain provisions of these Terms, including limitation of liability and intellectual property, will continue to apply
