BrighterBuddy (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of children and families who use our app.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use the BrighterBuddy mobile application.

BrighterBuddy is designed for children to use under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

A parent or legal guardian creates and manages the account. Child profiles are created and managed within the parent-controlled account.

We collect only the information necessary to operate the app.

When a parent creates an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Encrypted password
   

Passwords are encrypted and are not stored in plain text.

• Child’s first name or nickname
   
• Progress activity data within the app
   

Child profile information is stored securely in our database and associated with the parent account.

We do not collect:

• Precise location data
   
• Advertising identifiers
   
• Device fingerprinting data
   
• Contact lists
   
• Photos, camera data, or microphone recordings
   

We use collected information only to:

• Create and manage accounts
   
• Allow login authentication
   
• Store and display child progress
   
• Operate core app functionality
   
• Provide parent-requested account support
   

We do not use data for advertising or profiling.

We do not sell personal information.

We do not share personal information for advertising purposes.

We may share limited information with service providers strictly to operate and secure the app (for example, hosting infrastructure providers or required platform services). These providers are contractually limited to processing data only for service delivery purposes.

We do not integrate third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

BrighterBuddy does not use:

• Firebase Analytics
   
• Firebase Crashlytics
   
• Third-party advertising SDKs
   
• Behavioral tracking tools
   

We may use standard platform services required to distribute and operate the app (such as Google Play services).

We do not integrate additional third-party tracking technologies.

We do not store IP addresses in our application database and do not use IP addresses for tracking or advertising.

Our hosting providers may temporarily process network information (such as IP addresses) in server logs for security, fraud prevention, and reliability. This information is not used for profiling or marketing.

BrighterBuddy is intended for use by children under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

Parents/guardians:

• Create and manage accounts
   
• Control child profiles
   
• Can request access to, correction of, or deletion of data
   

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without parental involvement.

We do not use targeted advertising.

We do not sell personal information.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information, including:

• Encrypted password storage
   
• Secure database storage
   
• Authentication protections
   
• Access control limitations
   

While no system is 100% secure, we take appropriate measures to protect personal information.

We retain account and child profile information only as long as necessary to operate the app or until a parent requests deletion.

When an account is deleted, associated child profile data is also removed from our active systems.

Parents or legal guardians may:

• Request access to their data
   
• Request correction of account information
   
• Request deletion of their account and associated child profiles
